Compliance
Policies
These are the working rules the branches follow. They are a plain-language summary for the website, not a substitute for a contract or a site induction.
Health and safety
People are only put forward for work they are equipped to do. Where a licence, ticket or induction is required, it is checked before a start is agreed.
Candidates should follow the host site’s safety rules, wear the PPE they are told to bring, and report hazards to the site supervisor and to their consultant. Employers should brief new starters on the real risks of the job, not only hand over a generic leaflet.
If a placement feels unsafe, the person should stop, make the site safe if they can do so without risk, and call the branch the same day.
Equal opportunity
Roles are filled on the ability to do the work. Decisions are not based on age, disability, gender, pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or marriage and civil partnership.
If a site has a genuine requirement — a licence, a lifting task, a shift pattern — that requirement is stated up front so people can opt in or out honestly.
Anyone who thinks they have been treated unfairly by a branch or on a placement should write to [email protected]. The note will be read by someone who was not the original consultant where that is possible.
Candidate information
Registration details, right-to-work checks and work history are used to place people and to meet legal duties. How long that information is kept, and who sees it, is set out in the privacy notice.
